Multiplayer driving
Passengers no longer see the car freeze every few seconds. The driver owns the car, so a short network hitch doesn't hand it to a passenger.
- Remote cars, doors, windows, mirrors and seats move smoothly.
- Late updates are ignored, so cars and players don't jump back.
- Hitched trailers follow whoever is driving.

Joining
Joining players are placed on loaded ground in a clear spot. Players with different mods can still join. If a join fails, a message says why.
Performance
Less stutter when new areas, buildings and roadside stops load. Roads, mirrors, debris and parked cars cost less to run.
Items and cargo
Items in the glove box, cab and bed stay put for passengers. Held items no longer disappear, and quitting no longer deletes worn items.
World generation
New worlds keep the biome you pick. Mountains are less likely to block roads, buildings spawn on flatter ground, and the ground no longer disappears when you change view distance.
Settings tab
All options are in Settings → Roadworthy: shadow quality, performance preset, car smoothing, faster multiplayer, and a reset button.
Gameplay changes
Optional changes, most of which can be turned off in the Roadworthy tab:
- Trailers can be hitched to cars again.
- Alcohol sways and zooms your view. Milk sobers you up faster.
- A wire brush can repair radiators.
- Thirst rises faster, and sprinting uses more food and water.
- Rabbits and sandstorms are back in single-player.
